Notes   This article was first written under the title of Blackleg diseases in oil crops for submission to the journal of Agricultural Science.  Prior to its publication, however, the author was invited to present it at the world's most important oil crop conference in Palmerston North, New Zealand before a crowd of adoring researchers from all over the world.
